FOREST FIRE FIGHTING
Globally, the number of uncontrollable forest fires is increasing
every year. SK TEC advises and manufactures effective extinguishing technology,
to extinguish forest fires even in hard to access areas.
The SK TEC extinguishing system
Immediately available extinguishing water enables direct use
Functional technology to extinguish even in hard-to-reach places
Water-saving technology enables extinguishing operation for up to 1h
High throwing distances despite fine atomization and low water consumption
Fast forest fire extinguishing
with high performance vehicles

SK TEC GmbH has developed a new type of gear pump,
which can process pressures of up to 100 bar even with unfiltered process water.

21 % CO2 EMISSIONS FROM FOREST FIRES
Each year, 21% of the total amount of CO2
is caused by uncontrollable forest fires.
In particular, inaccessible plains and inefficient firefighting systems contribute to much of the uncontrollable wildfires.
By using more effective extinguishing technology, CO2 emissions can be reduced much further.
Prof. Dr. Johann Goldammer, expert for fire ecology at the Max Planck Institute, in an SWR interview
The average size of the effective area of a conventional low-pressure extinguishing jet is at arround 0.5 – 1 m with a water flow rate of 1500l/min. This leads to inefficient extinguishing results. The “a lot, helps a lot” approach is completely wrong in this case!
A finer atomization of the extinguishing jet allows not only a higher effective area (5 – 8 m) to be achieved, but also an immediately achieved extinguishing result. The fire is immediately smothered.
Forest fires can be extinguished in a controlled manner.
Uncontrollable fires due to inneffective extinguishing technology
Immense water consumption
Countless tons of water are wasted each year due to inefficient firefighting systems.
Forest fire fighting usually requires gigantic amounts of water. However, conventional extinguishing technology is not able to use it effectively.
SK TEC extinguishing technology uses only 10% of the water normally required for an effective extinguishing process, thus protecting the environment.
Extinguish forest fires EFFECTIVELY –
even on ammunition contaminated area
The extremely all-terrain SK TEC fire fighting vehicles allow direct access to any fire fighting area, apparently unreachable ones.
Even operations in ammunition contaminated areas are possible due to specially manufactured armored firefighting vehicles. Involved emergency forces are secured by the extremely protected vehicles.
